About Us

In 2018, the State School Aid Act was amended to establish a program to distribute funding to intermediate districts for the purpose of adding licensed behavioral health providers for the provision of mental health and support services. The Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative of Michigan (BHLC of MI) will bring together stakeholders across Michigan in a statewide comprehensive system designed with multiple perspectives, views, and users in mind. The BHLC of MI will serve as a network of people working towards the same goal - to improve mental health outcomes and support the behavioral health needs of students across Michigan.

Our Mission

Collaborate to reduce youth suicides and strengthen the mental health of school-aged children, adolescents, and their families in a comprehensive, statewide approach.

Through the Behavioral Health Learning Collaborative (BHLC) of Michigan, education and mental health professionals and organizations from across the state will seamlessly work together to identify and support students at risk of behavioral health issues.
